Elections were conducted by the MPPIA voting Charter Membership, reconstituted at the 2023 Annual General Meeting held on June 21st, 2023 at Vancouver Film Studios. The Board of Directors will develop and implement the Association’s 2023/24 strategic plan on behalf of the MPPIA Charter members, and for the benefit of the broad membership and BC’s motion picture production community at large.
In 2023/24, MPPIA is also building forward with a newly fortified operations team:
Leslie Wootton, formerly Director of Communications & Strategy, will assume the newly established full-time position of Executive Director.
Amber Orchard moves from the role of Association Coordinator to the newly establishd part-time position of Association Manager.
MPPIA is currently recruiting for a new operational part-time role, Association Administration & Communications Coordinator, which is expected to be filled Summer 2023.
The MPPIA Board of Directors and operational team look forward to acting on the Association’s mandate and priorities in the year ahead.
