Screen BC’s Education & Training Committee brings together members of the BC film & television production community to share up to date information on industry training and education in British Columbia.

Together, the Committee tracks and facilitates consistent, industry specific and standardized training that contributes to BC 's reputation for top tier industry crews, talent and expertise.

 

Central to this goal, the Committee monitors and manages the Motion Picture Industry Orientation Course (MPIO) in cooperation with Actsafe and the Provincial Film Commission at Creative BC. 

 

MPIO is essential gateway learning for industry newcomers and a requirement for entry to most key labour organizations. Sessions are ongoing -- please find access to sessions with Actsafe here.
